In this episode of the GoGCast, we visit the studio of Montreal’s own Tribute Games for the release of Flinthook, a procedurally generated action-platformer. Game Designer Dominic Ferland walks us through some of the game’s core features, gives us a few tips and tricks on how to play the game, tells us how Tribute Games mastered the pixel art style and more. Leah also got to play a bit of Flinthook and shares her first impressions.
Flinthook is available now through Steam, PlayStation and Xbox stores.

This week, we talk to the talented Patricia Summersett, an American Canadian voice and performance actor who’s recent roles include Princess Zelda in The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, Ash in Rainbow Six Siege and the Knight Warden in For Honor. Patricia shares with us how she fell in love with voice acting during her studies and how she landed her first gig in video games. She also walks us through the process of landing the role of Princess Zelda, keeping it a secret until the game’s release and how that experience has impacted her career. Patricia is also a singer songwriter so make sure to check out her band Summersett.

Marissa walks us through her career: from her journalism studies, to her first hosting gig all the way to today and her future plans. She also shares with us what she’s currently playing and her favourite video games.
This week in news: Montreal Comiccon 2017 line-up and events where announced and there will be esports involved as well as a huge part of the Watch Dogs 2 cast will be on site, the Zelda themed escape room is coming to Canada and a Naughty Dog artist is fighting bile with love by donating to Girls Make Games in the name of her trolls.
